Imma Pla estudi\u00f3 Dise\u00f1o Gr\u00e1fico en la escuela Elisava de Barcelona. Comenz\u00f3 su carrera intercalando diferentes opciones de trabajo, colaborando para distintas revistas, diarios y medios publicitarios, lo que la llev\u00f3 a compaginar diferentes disciplinas. Recibi\u00f3 el premio Apel.les Mestres en 1992, lo que la motivo a\u00fan m\u00e1s a dedicarse a la ilustraci\u00f3n. Hace algunos a\u00f1os emprendi\u00f3 su propia aventura como autora (cambiando su nombre por Imapla) tanto de libros de texto como de imagen. En el 2007, se le otorg\u00f3 el Premio Internacional de Ilustraci\u00f3n de La Fundaci\u00f3n SM. Va estudiar Disseny Gr\u00e0fic a l\u2019escola Elisava de Barcelona. Va comen\u00e7ar la seva carrera intercalant diferents opcions de treball, col\u00b7laborant per a diferents revistes, diaris i mitjans publicitaris, i compaginant diferents disciplines. Va rebre el premi Apel\u00b7les Mestres el 1992, la qual cosa la va motivar encara m\u00e9s a dedicarse a la il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3. Fa alguns anys va emprendre la seva pr\u00f2pia aventura com a autora (canviant el seu nom per Imapla) tant de llibres de text com d\u2019imatge. El 2007, se li va atorgar el Premi Internacional d\u2019Il\u00b7lustraci\u00f3 de la Fundaci\u00f3 SM.
